This is our smallest size yurt. It is roughly 176 sq. ft. and about 15 feet in diameter. This size is usually small enough not to be counted as an ADU for many cities and counties’ permitting requirements. It weighs about 900-1,000 pounds and is the most portable and easiest to set up, take down, and transport.
The 4-wall is best suited for a 1-2 person full-time home with an external bathroom or composting toilet. It would also work well as an extra room for a house, such as a guest room or office, or as a short-term rental or seasonal housing. You can make the walls tall, add windows or an extra door, and extra felt as needed.
